Smith Mt Lake Woodburning started with a simple belief: art made by a human hand is worth more than art punched out by a machine. Jay burns every magnet, coaster, ornament, keychain and plaque personally, using thermal pens and a whole lot of patience.

Lasers and engravers can copy a shape. They cannot copy the pressure of a hand slowing down to shade a feather, the warmth of a line that breathes with the wood grain, or the pride of an artisan signing off on a piece made just for you.

This community once grew to nearly 1,000 supporters who valued true handmade craftsmanship. Jay is rebuilding that circle for everyone who still believes a real person should make the gift you give.
